Asmodeus: Marc Robot, chitarra; Trevor Dunn, basso; Calvin Weston, batteria. Un trio rock classico, chitarra basso e batteria. Come i Cream e, ancora di più, come Jimi Hendrix, più quello di Band of Gypsies che quello di Experience. Heavy Klezmer. A me è piaciuto moltissimo. Mark Feldman (violino) e Sylvie Courvoisier (pianoforte). Sperimentazione interessante, un po’ rarefatta. Bello, ma il pezzo debole della serata.
Masada Quartet: John Zorn, sassofono; Dave Douglas, tromba; Greg Cohen, contrabbasso; Joey Baron, batteria. La formazione storica del progetto Masada. John Zorn finalmente suona (con Bar Kokhba e Asmodeus aveva fatto il direttore d’orchestra a modo suo). Entusiasmante. IUl bel video qui sotto vale mille commenti.
